An aquarium in Bray is giving those unlucky in love the chance to name one of their cockroaches after their ex.
Members of the public can make a small donation to Sea Life Bray and name one of the aquarium's Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches after a less-than-special someone. All proceeds will go towards the charity's conservation work, which focuses on the world's oceans.
Alternatively, people can put a more positive spin on the offer by naming a loved one after one of the insects. People can simply send a message to the aquarium with their selected name, alongside proof of their small donation to Sea Life Trust.

Bray Sea Life wrote on Facebook: "Forget flowers and chocolates, this Valentine's Day we are encouraging the un-romantics out there to name one of our cockroaches after a certain someone who has been 'bugging' you! In exchange for a small donation to the Sea Life Trust, your chosen name will feature in our Ranger area."
People reacted to the unusual offer with delight online. However, some pointed out that they wouldn't want to insult the cockroach by dishonouring them with certain names.
One user wrote: "On my way to donate. I have one very special person who is perfectly described as a hissing cockroach."
Another flatly stated: "I wouldn't insult the cockroach."
