A hectic ending to Monday night’s Game 2 saw the Braves even up the NLDS against the Phillies with a 5–4 win.
With one out in the top of the ninth inning, center fielder Michael Harris II made a sensational leaping catch on a deep fly ball from Philadelphia catcher J.T. Realmuto.
After hauling in the highlight-reel catch on the warning track, Harris whipped the ball back into the infield. Despite a slight overthrow, Austin Riley was able to get to the ball and fire it over to first base in order to double off Bryce Harper, who was racing back to first base after failing to tag up.

Realmuto, who had homered earlier in the game, was just a couple of feet shy of giving the Phillies a late lead. Instead of tacking on two runs to their tally, his deep fly ball resulted in the final two outs of the ball game after Harper was caught up on the base path.
The heads-up defensive play from Harris, as well as Riley in the infield, helped Atlanta shut the door on the potential comeback from Philadelphia.
