Bradley Walsh struggles to speak after contestant insults Shaun Wallace on The Chase

Bradley Walsh didn't know what to say after a contestant on The Chase took a cheeky swipe at Shaun Wallace.

Dick, Sophie, Louis and Penelope were hoping to beat The Chaser and take home thousands of pounds. Up first was Dick, a company director from Cumbria.

In his cash builder, the 69-year-old won a solid £3000 - but host Bradley felt Dick was a better player. Introducing The Chasers, Bradley asked Dick who he would like to take on.

Dick said: "I want to take on Shaun, Brad."

Bradley asked: "Why's that?"

Dick said: "I want to play someone my own age."

Surprised by the swipe, Bradley, attempting to stifle a laugh, moved his hand up to his face. He then pointed to The Chaser's table and ignored Dick's comment. Stuttering, Bradley said: "Time.....time to bring on The Chaser."

Tonight's episode was a repeat from May 7 2018 - meaning Shaun was only 57-years-old when the episode aired. Fortunately for Dick, Paul Sinha was announced as tonight's Chaser.

The Sinnerman didn't respond to Dick's insult, but only offered him a 'cagey' £20,000 as a high offer. Dick kept with his £3000 and made it through to the final.

He was joined by Sophie and Penelope who added an extra £57,000 to the prize pot. But The Sinnerman caught them with 16 seconds to go and they left empty-handed.
