Bradley Walsh perplexed by The Chase contestant's weird response to winnings

The Chase viewers were left as gob-smacked as host Bradley Walsh at a contestant's bizarre response to how she would spend her winnings.

The contestant took her time to explain her reasons for appearing on the gameshow - but her answers soon took a dark turn.

25-year-old Ramisa from London explained to host Bradley that she was hoping to win a chunk of money so that she could buy a dog, reports the Mirror.

But the story took an unexpected turn when she revealed that she currently has a cat, but wants it to die.

Ramisa, who works as a local council officer, admitted that she was a huge dog lover, and even downloads apps relating to dogs. She then revealed that she wanted to win some money so that she could buy a dog.She said: "I like dogs a lot, I spend a lot of my time researching dogs, watching dogs, playing with dogs.

"I even downloaded this app to dog sit, calling myself the dog whisperer. Unfortunately no one hired me, I don't know if it was because they were a bit freaked out."

Inquisitive to know more about the contestant, Bradley asked Ramisa if she'd like to open her own dog kennels with the money should she and the team win, but the 25 year old explained how she'd just like a pet dog for herself.

The dog lover then explained: "Right now I have a cat and she's a bit cranky - so I'd like to buy a dog in the future."

Knowing that she already has a cat, Bradley asked if she wanted a dog in the near future, to which she responded: "Well it depends if she dies first."

Completely taken aback, Bradley couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. He then said: "So the cat's got to peg it before you get a cat?"

Ramisa laughed and simply said: "Exactly," before explaining that if her cat was still alive she'd use any money won for a deposit on a house, where she'd have a room dedicated to her cat so that her cat was far away from her (and potential new pooch). She told the host: "I'd like to put a deposit down on a house where either my cat is dead and I can get a dog or she has a separate bedroom far far away."

Fans were not happy with Ramisa's reasoning for being on the show and took to Twitter to air their concerns.

One person penned: "Nah this girl going on about waiting for her cat to die. #TheChase"

Someone else said: "Ramisa should be banned from having animals. A cat is for life not just 3 years or when it dies! Disgusting."

A third penned: "Ramisa really thought it was a good idea to come on national television and tell the country that she wants her cat to die so that she can get a dog..."

While a fourth said: "The hell is wrong with this woman wishing her cat would die so she can get a dog?!! How did ITV allow that to be broadcast?!"
