Bradley Walsh is said to be in the reckoning to land the presenting job on This Morning, after Phillip Schofield's headline-hitting departure from the show at the weekend.
Following a week of speculation surrounding his future on the show, with bookies taking bets on him leaving before the week was through and rumours of a feud between himself and his once famously close co-host Holly Willoughby, Phillip took to Instagram out of the blue on Saturday to confirm he'd left This Morning.
He had hosted the ITV daytime show for 21 years, teaming up with Fern Britton before fronting it alongside Holly for the last 13 years and, in his statement said that he hoped This Morning would move on to 'a bright future.'

Confirming Phillip's exit, bosses also confirmed that Holly would be off the show until next month, beginning her half term break a week earlier than initially planned and on Sunday it was revealed that Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary would be standing in.
Dermot was the immediate favourite with bookmakers to be Phillip's permanent replacement, ahead of the likes of Rochelle Humes and Joel Dommett, but someone else who has been thrown into the mix is Bradley, a very popular TV personality thanks to presenting The Chase.
Ladbrokes have him at 7/1 to take over, with spokesperson Jessica O'Reilly commenting: "It's not out of the realms of possibility This Morning bosses mix things up by bringing in someone like Bradley Walsh, who is clearly loved by ITV viewers."
