Bradford head coach Mark Dunning was over the moon with the contribution of Leeds Rhinos trio James Donaldson, Luis Roberts and Sam Walters following their 22-26 victory over Halifax on Easter Monday.
The dual-registration system has been used between the Yorkshire rivals plenty of times already in 2023, with the likes of Liam Tindall, Leon Ruan and Corey Johnson featuring for the Bulls earlier this season.
The Bulls travelled to The Shay in front of the Viaplay Sports cameras, and all three Rhinos started the game for Dunning. Roberts, who copped some stick after his last Bradford appearance, was on the wing. Walters was in the front row, and Donaldson, who made his 80th Bulls appearance in the victory, started in the back row.

Dunning spoke to former Bull turned pundit Leon Pryce after the game and had some kind words for the Rhinos trio. Mainly Roberts, who he was delighted to see put his poor game against Keighley Cougars behind him and quickly move on.
“James Donaldson, I’m a big admirer of him since he was first at our club. Sam Walters has been here a few times.
“I’m particularly pleased for Luis Roberts. He got some stick after the time he played for us at Keighley away. He had a bad day that day, as did everybody, and he took some stick for that. So it was great to see him get through today and do it with a smile on his face.”
