Brad Pitt slams Angelina Jolie for rehashing private jet incident in bitter winery court battle

Brad Pitt has criticised ex-wife Angelina Jolie for making "intrusive" demands he claims are irrelevant to their ongoing legal dispute.

Pitt sued Jolie in 2022 for selling her stake in their French winery, Chateau Miraval, to Stoli, a company owned by a Russian oligarch, without his consent.

The actor argued that he and Jolie intended for their six children to inherit the winery and that the sale to Stoli was a hostile takeover. He's seeking to reverse Jolie's sale of her shares.

The Maleficent actress has denied wrongdoing, stating she was not required to have Pitt's approval.

As court battles rage on, Pitt has allegedly accused Jolie of making 54 requests for documents that he considers unrelated to the case.

Court documents obtained by In Touch reportedly reveal Jolie is demanding Pitt provide all private communication he had with friends and business partners regarding a 2016 incident between them on a private jet and any communication with the FBI about that situation.

Pitt's lawyer has criticised Jolie's document requests as "unnecessary motion practice" and an attempt to publicly attack Pitt.

He reportedly argued that these private communications are irrelevant to the business dispute and are a bid to re-litigate their divorce case.

He said: “These private, third-party communications are far removed from the issues and allegations in this case, and in many cases, they have nothing but the most tenuous relationship to what happened on that plane.

"Jolie, however, wants them anyway as part of her efforts to turn this business dispute into a re-litigation of the former couple’s divorce case.”

The pair divorced in 2016 after Jolie alleged Pitt was physically abusive to her and their children on a private plane, an incident investigated by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and the FBI, resulting in no criminal charges.

However, Pitt has been put on supervised visitation with the children since.

Pitt's lawyer stated at the time that the Bullet Train actor accepted responsibility for his actions but would not admit to things he did not do.

The lawyer said at the time: “Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one — unlike the other side but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do.

"He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation.”

The current legal drama has been amped up by a $350million countersuit from Stoli, accusing Pitt of misusing company assets, which he has denied.
