Michigan State hockey is in a great position to get a favorable draw in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
USCHO.com released an NCAA Tournament bracket projection on Tuesday that puts Michigan State in a great spot. The Spartans are currently projected to land a No. 1 seed in the Toledo Region. This would be the best possible situation for the Spartans, with Toledo being a short drive away for fans to support the squad.
Jim Connelly of USCHO.com has the Spartans facing off against No. 4 seed Minnesota State in his projected bracket. On the other side of the region is the No. 2 seed Denver and the No. 3 seed Boston University.
Michigan State is 20-3-3 on the year and currently holds a five-point lead in Big Ten play over Minnesota. The Spartans should have already locked up a bid in the NCAA Tournament and will easily earn a No. 1 seed if they continue to take care of business to end the season.
