Boyband heartthrob is unrecognisable with tattoos and dark hair 25 years after success

Fans of a popular 90s boyband may have trouble recognising this particular member as he's sporting a very different look two decades since making his music industry debut.

The singer, now 43, rose to fame as one fifth of Five. The beloved boyband enjoyed years of success and had several chart-topping songs at the height of their career.

This member was well-known for his floppy, light brown hair and cheeky persona, but he's now ditched this and made his look edgier, dying his hair dark brown and adding tattoos to his arms.

Ritchie Neville was a fan favourite of Five, sometimes stylised as 5ive, and people may be surprised by his new bulked-up appearance.

The Five star regularly takes to Instagram to show off his training sessions at the gym, while flashing his new tattoos wearing a gym vest.

He recently offered an explanation for his new muscles, writing alongside a snap: "t’s been a long road back from lockdowns, eating and drinking too much.

"I guess low mood. Limbo. But 6 months ago I decided enough was enough, I hid it the weight well but made a promise to exercise regularly and decided to share progress."

He added: "Still some to go but I’m feeling better about myself."

Five also consisted of Scott Robinson, Sean Conlon, J Brown and Abz Love.

They formed in 1997 and went on to achieve chart-topping success, becoming a standout band in the decade. after their debut album topped the charts in 1998.

They released follow-up albums in 1999 and 2001 before disbanding in 2001 after four years together.

Scott, Richie, Sean and Abz reunited in 2012 - a decade after the group first disbanded. Abz left the band again in 2014, but the other three are still performing together.

Their fourth album, Time, was released last month.

The band is known for songs like Keep On Movin' and Everybody Get Up. Other singles released by them included Let's Dance and a cover of Queen's We Will Rock You.

Ritchie started dating Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton in 2013. She gave birth to their daughter Ella Rose a year later.

The couple later split in 2016.
