Boy suffers cardiac arrest at Leeds Jump Inc as trampoline park issues statement

A teenage boy was rushed to hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest in a Leeds trampoline park.

Around 10.56am on Thursday, March 17, West Yorkshire Police (WYP) were called to Jump Inc in Benyon Park, Holbeck. Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service rushed to the scene and a boy was taken to hospital.

The serious incident forced Jump Inc to close yesterday. In an updated statement posted at 8pm on Thursday night, Jump Inc said: "Due to ongoing speculation, Jump Inc have decided to release a further statement in relation to the incident at our park today. A customer suffered a cardiac arrest whilst attending Jump Inc Leeds and we would very much appreciate if respect is given to the family at this difficult time."

The male has been taken to hospital for further treatment. Enquiries are continuing at the scene and the centre remains closed at this time."

People commented on the Jump Inc post to wish the boy a speedy recovery. One person said: "Hope the child makes a speedy recovery. Can’t stop thinking about them". Another wrote: "Really hope the boy is ok."

One person said: "Sending love to the child and his family for a quick recovery and all staff at jump inc as it's a difficult thing to experience." Kevin Blueman added: "It was just awful and my thoughts are purely with the young boy and his family."
