Boy rushed to hospital after being mowed down by car in Scot town

An 11-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in a Scots car.

Police Scotland were called to reports of the road incident, which took place just before 7pm on Friday June 3 at Duke Street in Denny.

It is believed that the child's injuries were ' non-life threatening ' and there is not thought to be criminality on the part of the driver.

The road was closed for a period of time whilst police conducted inquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.50pm on Friday, 3 June, 2022, a collision involving a child pedestrian and a car occurred on Duke Street, Denny.

"A 11-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

"The road was closed for around two hours to allow police enquiries to take place."
