A boy who was born in a four-star hotel has visited his birthplace to celebrate his 10th birthday.
George Eades visited staff at the Radisson Edwardian Grafton Hotel in central London who remembered the special day. George's middle name is Reg - the initials of the hotel he was born in.
Mum Michelle Eades had checked into the hotel after nurses told her she "wasn't in full labour".
She gave birth to her son just four hours later in the hotel bathroom and was delivered by her husband Richard Eades.
The couple got married last year and said they wove the unique birth into their wedding speech.
Mr Eades told the Camden New Journal: “It was really sweet that [staff] invited us back and it was fun for us to look around.
“There were people there that remembered us and they said it had never happened before.”
George said his birth story is "cool but weird", and says his friends didn't believe him, but told them to " Google it".
He still has the same teddy from when he was born.
Peter Wardley, who was the hotel manager at the time of the birth, added: “It gives us great pleasure to welcome George when he visits. All the team have fond memories of the day George arrived.”
Speaking in 2013, Mrs Eades said: “It was a bizarre moment. We looked at each other like ‘did we just do that?
"Have we really had a baby in a hotel?’ Then it was complete elation.”
Mrs Eades said she took two paracetamol, closed the curtains and listened to hypnotherapy CDs while her then-partner tried to relax her.
Earlier that day, they had got a tax from their home in Hackney, East London to University College Hospital in Bloomsbury, where she was due to give birth.
She was sent away and told to come back when she was in "full labour".
They ended up at the hotel just 100 metres away and gave birth hours later.
In the hotel, she described having the urge to "push" and thought it "couldn't be the baby" and before she knew it the baby came and Mr Eades "caught him".
The couple then phoned reception and requested the paramedics.
At the time, Mrs Eades praised the hotel staff for their support.
