Boy in front of Queen's coffin leaves viewers in tears by reminding sister of 'protocol'

A youngster who reminded his little sister to bow to show her respect as the Queen's coffin went by them has become an internet sensation as people have praised the example he gave to her. The pair were among hundreds of thousands of people to have queued up for hours to pay their respects to the Queen at Westminster Hall over the last few days whilst she was lying in state.

After seeing moments on the live stream of the Queen lying in state such as a Royal guard fainting and David Beckham paying his respects after queuing for hours, the young man has gone viral thanks to the touching gesture, reports The Daily Star.

In a clip seen more than a million times on Twitter, the young girl can be seen walking past the Queen's coffin, but before she walks out of the shot, her brother taps her on her shoulder and grabs her hand to come back to where he is stood.

He then gestures for her to follow his suit in bowing, before the pair of them do just that by the coffin to show their respects.

Royal fans have been left in tears by the heartwarming act ahead of the monarch's funeral today (September 19).

One commented: "What lovely children. Their parents must be very proud of them."

Another said: "Out of the gloom comes light, wonderful."

Someone else wrote: "Beyond adorable, a credit to their parents."

"Oh God this is just too precious. What a wonderful big brother", another wrote.

Millions of mourners have descended on London today to bid a final farewell to Queen Elizabeth II.

The funeral is currently being shown across a number of TV channels and is also being attended by 2,000 guests including a number of high-profile dignitaries.

The number of people attending the state funeral has meant the security services have put in place the UK's largest ever anti-terror operation to handle the 'serious threat.'

The funeral is expected to be the most watched global broadcast in history with figures predicted to reach approximately 4.2 billion watchers.

Britain's longest-reigning monarch is going to be buried in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, an annexe of St George's Chapel at Windsor, rather than Westminster Abbey, as tradition used to see.
