Boy George unrecognisable before undergoing Wayne Rooney inspired hair transplant

In the latest instalment of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Boy George proudly told his camp mates that he had a hair transplant.

The Karma chameleon hit maker decided to go for the procedure after being inspired by Wayne Rooney's £30,000 procedures.

He made the admission after Jill Scott complimented him on his hair, to which he replied: "Well, mine's a transplant".

The singer, 61, joked that he got it done at 'the transplant shop'.

"Is it? Oh my God!’, Jill exclaimed and Seann Walsh told him it looks "amazing".

George added: "Do you know what made me do it? Wayne Rooney. I saw his hair and thought, I can actually get my hair done."

The comedian told George: "It's like you're rebuilding yourself," before George replied: "I am Darth Vader".

Wayne has forked out an estimated £30,000 on hair transplants over the space of nine years.

Boy George has certainly been making his presence known in the jungle, especially when it comes to the former health secretary.

He declared that Matt Hancock won't have "any power" over him after the MP was voted to be the camp leader.

"Ultimately, neither of them will have any power over me. If I don’t want to do something, I won’t do it," he told the Bush Telegraph.

Matt was nipped by a scorpion on Sunday, leaving him reeling in pain - but Boy George struggled to feel sympathetic.

"It was like, of all the people that could get stung by a scorpion. He added: "I mean, I'm not laughing. I'm sure it was horrible but [laughs]."

Seann also had a dig by joking: "It was this big."

But fans weren't impressed, with one saying that he "could have been more sympathetic.

"Think Boy George's reaction to this was just completely wrong. He clearly doesn't like Matt and that's fine, but he could have been more sympathetic," they wrote.

Another added: "Not the biggest fan of Matt Hancock for obvious reasons. But Boy George finding it hilarious that he got stung by a Scorpion is vile!"

"How rude is Boy George laughing at Matt getting stung by a scorpion, he could of been really hurt and its absolutely disgusting that people think it's funny!!!" a third chimed.

Although not everyone shared that opinion, with one adding: "Boy George is just there like karma karma karma karma......scorpion."

The singer has been accused of being a "bully" in the jungle, with many fans highlighting his 15 month prison sentence.

Audun Carlsen, 43, says that he is still traumatised after George handcuffed him to a wall during a psychotic episode.

Carlsen claimed that he beat him with a chain, but George has always denied these claims and pleaded not guilty to false imprisonment.

He was convicted of assault and false imprisonment and jailed for 15 months.

On an episode of Piers Morgan's Life Stories, he said: “I sent myself to prison. I told police why I did what I did. I was having a psychotic episode. I was a drug addict so I can’t say my reasons for doing it were founded in any way. But I told the truth. I have always denied beating the guy.”
