Boy George has revealed he sensationally tried to quit I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! four times throughout the show - and even ripped his microphone off in one meltdown.
The music icon even went on strike after the crew refused to give him clean socks and forced the bosses to change the long-running set to accomodate his needs
The Culture Club star kicked off about having to drink "smoke-infused" water, which he likened to torture, and ranted at staff until a water filter was installed in camp.
George, who suffers from asthma, had a stand off with the crew after demanding that they let him have a buggy ride back to camp after doing a challenge.
Campmate Sue Cleaver, who George pointed out is younger than him, was offered a ride but the singer wasn't.
Furious, he pointed out that Ant and Dec travel around in a Range Rover and said it was a "duty of care" issue.
After he refused to walk up the hill, he sat in a wheelbarrow on strike.
He then realised that he wasn't going to get his way, so he ran into a shed and locked the door.
George revealed how he then started chanting, laughing and crying.
After his protest, the crew caved and got him a buggy to travel back to camp.
“The thing is, the jungle is designed to drive you crazy and it works, because everything in there is impossible. So there were times when I said, ‘If this isn’t beneficial to the show, I’m not doing it’," he told The Sun.
“I am a bit of a stomper-outer, I spent the whole of the 80s saying I was going to leave Culture Club. My manager calls it my marching, when I start going, ‘That’s it I’m leaving’.
“So I was amazed how I was able to stop myself from doing a Gemma Collins. I can remember watching her quit and thinking, ‘That could be me’."
His method to get his own way was by taking his microphone off and leaving it in the Bushtucker Telegraph cabin.
He would leave it in there and tell the producers to "call him" when they had resolved his requests.
George said that he did win some of the arguements, including how he got a water filter installed.
