Boy George stops I'm A Celebrity exit interview to talk about Matt Hancock

Boy George spoke out about Matt Hancock in his exit interview after he confessed in person to the MP that he had been ‘hating’ on him during the show. George was evicted on Tuesday night (Nov 22) from I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and took the time to reach out after he left the jungle.

George had been speaking a lot about Hancock, and like a lot of the campmates, was sceptical about why the ex-Health Secretary was on the show. He also had serious reservations about how he had handled the pandemic.

He was the forth star to be voted out, and as reported by BirminghamLive, told hosts Ant and Dec: “I am sort of ready. I’ve had an amazing time I did a lot of things I never thought I would do. I’m sort of excited to see my sister.

“I’ve never done anything like this. [missed bit] seeing myself, it’s horrifying.” George also defended Hancock when Ant and Dec probed him on his relationship with him. It came after George told the MP on Friday night he had been “hating” on him. But George offered a truce last night, saying: “In here, he’s just a person.”

George was also seen hugging Hancock before walking over the bridge to join Ant and Dec. “Being honest, I’m happy to go today,” he added. Asked why he had decided to take part in the ITV reality show, he said: “For me it was like can I do it? It was a lot tougher than I thought.”

George, 61, said the experience had been life-changing for him. “It makes you appreciate what you have in your life,” he said. “And I’m sticking to the diet, it was amazing,” he added.

However the diet part didn’t seem to last long as he posted a picture of himself noshing on a huge pizza on Twitter afterwards: “Eating pizza and watching #FIFAWorldCup replay after a lovely long shower. Thanks for all the amazing messages. The love always tracends the negativity. This b**ch still gives great headline. I have seen them all and laughed heartily!”
