I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Boy George will probably be lying in bed thinking about some of his actions during his time in the Australian jungle, according to his team.
The Culture Club singer, 61, reportedly stole an apple and stormed off after an explosive interaction with the ITV1 show's crew when he was refused access to ride in a golf buggy following the Partners In Grime Bushtucker Trial.
It's been reported that Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver, 59, is allowed to be driven in a buggy "under special conditions". The rest of the campmates are said to have to walk back.
After he was denied the opportunity to use the buggy, Boy George reportedly threw a "massive strop," as reported by The Sun, and stole an apple before hiding in the jungle in response. It is believed Boy George was "threatening" to quit the hugely-popular reality TV show but producers managed to talk him out of leaving.
Paul Kemsley, who has been managing his official Instagram account which has more than 663,000 followers during his time in Australia, responded to the reports with a lengthy statement on Boy George's page saying the popstar does not do well in groups.
The post, which had a photo of The Sun's front page story about the singer, read: "If you want not human, not honest, he’s not your guy.
"Half the time he’s just looking for intellectual conversation or some kind of stimulation, he’s not a guy that does well in groups, he’s a one-on-one guy.
"He starts a topic to encourage that kind of chat, he will probably be lying in bed saying 'why did I say that or do that?'. No idea George, but who cares, it’s great to watch."
The post continued: "George is complex. That’s why they wanted him, that’s what he does. He gets upset and gets over it.
"He’s probably hungry and bored and doesn't like games or people pretending to be something they are not, like that Hancock whose only there to promote a book. George is there to challenge himself."
It concluded: "He can laugh, cry, get angry, get lonely, get scared. It’s called being human. George is complex and interesting... it’s why we watch, to see him being challenged, he’s being challenged.
"From a manager's perspective… front page is front page and if he were boring, he wouldn’t be on the cover would he!
"Vote George, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride and you may not see him play hide and seek, may see him get annoyed but he’s lovely and real and it’s riveting."
Boy George survived the latest round of voting as Scarlette Douglas was the second celebrity to exit the New South Wales rainforest on Sunday evening.
