Boy George feels he's already sabotaged himself - by ruining his I'm A Celebrity outfit off air.
The pop star is set to join the jungle show when it returns to ITV this Sunday, and the Karma Chameleon singer admits he's already made a little error. His promo picture for the show features the infamous camp uniform, with a slight alteration.
The red dots were added by the singer himself, but he admits he wasn't given permission to make the edit and hopes he may get a chance to wear that version in the show - or he'll be finding a way to customise it from inside the jungle.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press about his camp 'uniform', he said: "The thing is, I wasn't given permission to do anything to the clothes. I mean, they sent them over to kind of see wherever they fitted me.
"And of course, I'm a hat guy. As soon as I saw the hat, Oh, it's too small. So I just took a pair of scissors to it and cut it up and then I thought they're gonna go mad, but they seem to like it. I can't promise that I will be wearing it in there."
Boy George and his other campmates are currently in isolation ahead of the show starting on Sunday evening.
"It's one of those shows - no one tells you anything. I asked someone the other day what day it was and he wouldn't tell me and I was like, you're taking this a bit too far," he shared of his experience so far.
"Because, you know, as I say, this isolation period is like a weird detox from you know, social media and communication and all those things that you sort of take for granted. So it's quite literally no one tells you anything."
He admits the "worst part" of the show for him is not the Bushtucker trials or the creepy crawlies, but the clothes.
"For me the worst part of the show is the clothes. I just never wear things like that, but I’ve got over it. I’m over it. I’m gonna wear them and it’s fine. It’s just not something I would ever do," he explained, "I just never want to look normal.
"I always want something different to what other people are wearing, but you know, I’ve accepted it and I’ve done my thing. Whether I get to do that or not, I might even try to make some outfits out of some leaves or something."
