Boy devastated after £1,000 Canada Goose jacket robbed while walking home from school

A teenage boy has been left heartbroken after his designer coat was stolen by a gang of youths.

The 13-year-old boy had his coat stolen as he walked home from school which cost a staggering £1,000.

The young boy said he was forced to hand over the fur-trimmed Canada Goose jacket after being approached and confronted by a large group near The Dorcan Academy in Swindon.

His mother, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "I’m more worried about my son than the coat as he is so upset and it has really scared him.

“It has left me sick with worry. I was angry at first, but I would rather have him safe with no coat than seriously hurt!

"It says a lot when a teenager can’t even walk a short distance from school without something like this happening."

The mother claims her son tried his best to get away from the group. (Canada Goose)

The mother claims her son tried his best to get away from the threatening group.

But the group cornered her son and demanded that he handed over the coat immediately.

She added: "There was nothing else he could do. He was scared they were going to hurt him, so gave it to them and they rode off."

In January, a teenage boy's bike was stolen by machete-branding robbers in a Swindon Park.

The victim, 15, was in Shaw Ridge Park when the suspects came out of a bush and brandished a machete at the boy, demanding he dropped his belongings.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that it is investigating the robbery.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We can confirm that we have received a report of a teenager having his coat stolen by two suspects riding bicycles, and we have started an investigation."

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101, quoting reference 54230025962.
