An eight-year-old schoolboy had be rushed to hospital after being hit by a bus in Troon.
Emergency services raced to the scene on the town's Ayr Street around 4.30pm on Monday.
Cops locked down the busy street for almost an hour after the collision.
The pedestrian, an eight-year-old boy, was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse.
He was later released from hospital.
The road reopened at 5.20pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.30pm we were called to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a bus on Ayr Street, Troon.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, an eight-year-old boy, was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse, then later released.
“The road was fully reopened around 5.20pm.”
