A mum feared for her seven-year-old son's safety after he was nearly "kidnapped".
Rachael Deakin from Bebington said her son Zander was playing out with his friend on Abbots Drive when she heard him scream. Zander had been approached by two boys who asked him if he wanted skittles.
Rachael claims that Zander and his friend took the boy's hand who then guided them down an alleyway. As they walked away from home the other boy asked them if they wanted to go for ice cream and would need to travel to the "middle of nowhere to get it".

Rachael told the ECHO: "I did not see what happened until Zander came in and told me the whole story, that is when I got the police involved. He was playing just by the house when they approached him and stupidly he said he likes skittles and grabbed his hand to take him down an alleyway.
"I think it became clear to him that it was not a joke and more serious than kids messing around. When he came home I think what had happened sunk in and he was upset."
Rachael described the boys as being around 11 years old, one with light blonde hair the other with dark hair and a stocky build. Merseyside Police said that they believe this was an isolated incident.
Rachael said: "It was scary and you don't expect it around here because it is a nice area. I think parents need to be aware that kids trust kids of similar ages. It is not just adults who can be strangers but children too."
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm we received a report of a seven-year-old child being approached by two older children in Bebington yesterday (Thursday 4 May). At around 4.30pm, it was reported that the boy was approached by two older children on Abbots Drive, who asked him to follow them. The boy then ran back to his house.
"Although we are in the early stages of establishing the circumstances of what happened, we believe this was an isolated incident. Our enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC on Twitter, call 101, quoting reference 23000378123."
