Boy, 3, suffers 'life-changing' injury after falling from upstairs window

A three-year-old boy has suffered a 'life-changing' injury after falling from a window at a property in Bolton. It happened at an address on Balcary Grove in the Heaton area of the town at around 10:45pm on Wednesday (June 21).

It is believed the child fell from an upstairs bedroom window, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said in a statement. He was taken to hospital with a broken leg they said.

The force described the injury as 'life-changing but not life-threatening.' "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances," they added.

Any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident is being urged to contact GMP using the LiveChat facility on their website, or by calling 101 quoting incident reference number CRI/06KK/0018947/23.

Details can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
