Boy, 3, knocked down by van in street

An air ambulance landed after a three-year-old old boy was hit by a van in the street.

Merseyside Police were called to Sandbrook Road in Ainsdale at 3.45pm on Friday, May 5, following reports of a crash. Police said once officers arrived at the scene they found a three-year-old boy had stepped out into the road and was hit by a van.

An air ambulance landed at the scene a short time later and police closed Sandbrook Road between Limont Road and Staveley Road. The three-year-old was taken to hospital to be checked over by doctors.
