A three-year-old boy died in his mum's arms after he enjoyed one final trip outside hospital.
Lloyd Cheung had been battling an aggressive form of cancer for the past year. Despite initial good news he was in remission, the cancer returned and Lloyd relapsed with the disease rapidly spreading.
His family were told in October that there was nothing else that could be done and it was "only a matter of time". Processing the heartbreaking news, Lloyd's mum Sarah shared their journey in the hopes of raising awareness and paid tribute to her "beautiful young boy".

But on November 4, around two weeks after the devastating news, Lloyd died at 6.44am in his mum's arms at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Close friend Laura Kehrwieder said: "He fought for quite a while, he was given days to live but fought for a few weeks.
"He gave a good fight. Sarah took him out for fresh air the day before, just outside the hospital, but he deteriorated rapidly. He had a really tough night and he passed away in his mum's arms at 6.44am.
"Looking at him physically you wouldn't have thought there was anything wrong. He was energetic and nothing was too much for him, my little girl absolutely loved him.
"He was a happy go lucky boy, he didn't deserve it. No kid, no-one does but he was so boisterous and the loveliest boy you'd ever meet. He loved fire engines, loved Spiderman and he was just so happy, even right up to the end.
"He really put up the best fight, he didn't struggle and he wasn't in pain. He went in his mum's arms where he should've been."
Back in 2021, Sarah Cheung knew something was wrong with her youngest son Lloyd when he began vomiting, walking into things and was having silent seizures. But being told it was just a virus, Sarah knew something "wasn't right" as the three-year-old was "sleeping a lot".
Eventually being sent for CT and MRI scans in October, the family were told he had a brain tumour. Subsequent surgery revealed Lloyd had an atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumour (ATRT) - an aggressive and rare tumour of the central nervous system. But in May of this year, the family were given some good news when doctor's said Lloyd was in remission.
However, this hope came "crashing down" when in July 2022, Lloyd had another tumour in the front of his head and four down his spine, meaning his cancer had returned and was rapidly spreading. Despite the lengthy battle, young Lloyd remained positive throughout as he "gave his best fight".
Laura Kehrwieder launched a fundraiser for the family to help them make "loads of memories" for when Lloyd was well enough to do so. Having raised over £3,000, Laura is now hoping donations made will go towards supporting the family during this difficult time. To donate to the fundraiser, click here.
Laura added: "It's heart-breaking, he didn't have a life. Sarah has been receiving so many messages and she's so grateful to every single one. She's not in the right frame of mind but as time goes on, she will thank everyone personally.
"We are all just heartbroken, I've even got presents here donated to give to him."
Keeping people updated on Lloyd's journey via his Instagram page, Sarah previously wrote her "brave and beautiful" boy is "too good for this cruel world". In the hopes of raising awareness, Lloyd's Instagram page can be found by clicking here.
