Boy, 16, missing from Canberra thought to have travelled to Sydney

Police have appealed for public assistance to locate a 16-year-old boy from Canberra's south who is believed to have travelled to Sydney.

Nate Palmer was last seen at home in Isabella Plains about 10pm on Thursday, September 19.

The 16-year-old is Caucasian in appearance, about 175 centimetres tall, with a thin build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, police said.

Police on Sunday said Nate Palmer was believed to have travelled to Sydney and may have a duffle bag.

"Police and Nate's family hold concerns for his welfare, and are requesting the public's assistance to locate him," police said in a statement.

Anyone who has seen the boy, who may have information about his whereabouts, has been urged to contact ACT Policing by telephoning 131 444, quoting reference 7856054.
