Boy, 15, rushed to hospital after 'crashing motorbike into car' on Leeds road

A motorbike rider aged 15 has been taken to hospital in a 'stable' condition following a collision with a car on a street in Leeds.

Officers with West Yorkshire Police who attended the scene of the collision on Middleton Park Avenue discovered that the motorbike had been removed before their arrival. It was found a short time later.

It is believed the 15-year-old boy had been riding the motorbike on his own. The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.

In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said: "At 4.23pm on Thursday August 25, police were called by the ambulance service to a collision involving a motorbike and a car in Middleton Park Avenue, Leeds.

"Officers attended and found the bike had been removed from the scene, but it was located a short time later.

"A 15-year-old male, who was believed to be riding the bike alone, was taken to hospital in a stable condition. The driver was spoken to by officers and enquiries are ongoing."
