A teenager has been charged after numerous alleged attempted break-ins in the Upper Hunter.
Police received multiple reports of attempted break-and-enters and robbery incidents at properties at Pioneer Road, Casey Drive, Nelson Drive and Dominion Avenue, Hunterview, near Singleton.
The incidents reportedly happened between 2am and 4am Thursday.
At 4am, police found five people near the intersection of Bridgeman Road and Blaxland Avenue, Singleton.
When officers approached the group, they allegedly attempted to run away.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Singleton Police Station.
He was charged with:
- Enter building/land with intent to commit indictable offence - two counts;
- Aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence - people there;
- Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner;
- Commit s 154A offence & disseminate;
- Steal property in dwelling-house
He was also charged with two outstanding warrants for break and enter house and robbery in company.
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today on August 23.
