Boy, 13, taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Radyr

A 13-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Radyr in Cardiff on Tuesday afternoon. Officers from South Wales Police were called to the scene just after 3.30pm following reports that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian in De Clare Drive near the railway station.

The boy was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff by road ambulance, the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Shortly after 3.30pm today, South Wales Police was called to a report of a road traffic collision on De Clare Drive, Radyr. A blue Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a 13-year-old boy who has been taken to hospital."
