A 13-year-old boy has been left with 'potentially life-changing injuries' after being knocked down from his bike in Trafford.
The 'horrific' crash, which involved the boy and two vehicles, happened on Manchester Road in Carrington at around 9pm last night (Tuesday). The boy was rushed to hospital, with his family now being supported by specialist officers.
A man and woman - the drivers of the two vehicles - were arrested on the scene on suspicion of alcohol and drug driving offences, police said. They remain in custody to be quizzed by detectives.

An investigation is underway. Any witnesses, or anyone who has footage of the crash, is being urged to come forward.
Inspector Darren Hancock, Head of GMP’s SCIU said: "This was an horrific accident that has left a 13-year-old boy with potentially life-changing injuries. We send out thoughts to him and his family, and our specialist officers continue to support them.
"We have arrested two people in relation to this accident, but our investigations are still ongoing. We would encourage anyone who was in the area of Manchester Road in Carrington at approximately 9pm last night and who may have captured the vehicles on dashcam footage, to come forwards.
"In addition, if there is anyone with doorbell footage or CCTV that shows the vehicles or the accident, we would urge them to contact 101, quoting reference number 003771-25042023. Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity – Crimestoppers – on 0800 555 111."
