A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of 11 separate offences including arson and burglary as part of an investigation into yob crime and nuisance in parts of Runcorn.
Cheshire Police said the teenager has been accused of four counts of theft, two of criminal damage, burglary, arson, two assaults and one instance of threatening and abusive language. He was arrested along with two other youths as part of an investigation into antisocial behaviour (ASB) in the Castlefields estate and Trident retail park: a 14-year-old girl on suspicion of assault and a 12-year-old boy on suspicion of criminal damage.
All three have been conditionally bailed until May 2.

Trident Park has been hit by spates of yob nuisance in recent months including the busway, with police resorting to imposing dispersal orders to keep the peace. A Runcorn neighbourhood beat newsletter said gangs of up to 45 youths had been raising hell at the retail park in November.
Castlefields has also experience repeat ASB including tyre slashings earlier this week, although the three youths arrested above have not been linked to that incident. Anyone who experiences ASB can call Cheshire Police on 101 or report it online at cheshire.police.uk. Always call 999 in an emergency.
