A boy was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Halewood.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of a crash, on Higher Road, at around 9.25pm on Wednesday, August 31. Police were told that a boy and a black BMW 3-series were involved in an incident.
The 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital with head injuries, where he remains in a serious condition. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.

Detectives have since confirmed that Merseyside Police’s Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the crash. Detective Sergeant Andy Roper said he is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any CCTV or dash camera footage which could assist with enquiries to contact the unit direct on 0151 777 5747 or email SCIU@merseyside.police.uk.
