Boy, 12, hit by car in Kent Road, Pudsey, as police close road

A 12-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Leeds this morning, February 11.

Emergency services were called at 8.29am following the accident in Kent Road, Pudsey.

The schoolboy was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment. The extent of his injuries is currently not known.

Kent Road remains closed between Acres Hall Avenue and Kent Crescent/Kent Road and drivers are advised to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 8.29am today, police were called to a road traffic collision in Kent Road, Pudsey, where a 12-year-old boy pedestrian had been involved in a collision with Ford Kuga near to the junction with Kent Crescent.

"The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment and a scene and road closure remains in place pending an update on his condition."
