Boxing news: Anthony Joshua shows off physique on Miami beach ahead of June 1 fight

Anthony Joshua was spotted showing his impressive physique on the beach in Miami as he prepares for his huge June 1 fight.

Joshua touched down in America last week and has set up camp in Florida for the run-up to his US debut against Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden.

The heavyweight king has been documenting his training schedule on social media and is clearly working hard but took some time away from the gym to head down to the beach.

He was filming for his sponsors, Under Armour, and showed off his best James Bond impression as he was pictured strolling out of the seas in black swim shorts.

He is clearly in good physical shape ahead of his latest defence of his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight belts, with his muscular frame on full display.

Just days before jetting off to the USA, Joshua revealed he was at '70-75%' physical condition.

"I'd say I'm 70-75%. I could spar 12 rounds today, no problem," Joshua declared in a video on his YouTube channel .

He also opened up on the reasoning behind their choice of Miami base before heading across to New York for the fight.

He added: "The reason we chose Miami is because it's the same time zone, and it's a bit more open and airey than it is in New York.

"We'll be out there training for the next four weeks or so."

Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, is already looking ahead and recently dropped four names that are in the frame as potential opponents later in 2019.

Provided he gets past Ruiz as expected, Joshua is set to return to the UK for a title defence in November or December against either Tyson Fury , Dillian Whyte, Oleksandr Usyk or Kubrat Pulev.

"It's frustrating because Joshua wants all the big fights, but what can you do? You can just keep winning," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"We saw Usyk got injured and he's out of May 25th, but he will be the mandatory and that's a fight that could happen in December.

"Maybe the Dillian Whyte fight happens in December. He's got to beat Oscar Rivas first.

"Maybe Josh fights Tyson Fury, maybe he takes the IBF mandatory in Pulev. Anything can happen.

"Really the most important thing for those four heavyweights is to just to win their next fights, because in this division anything can happen. It's all very well talking about future fights. If someone slips up, it's over."
