Boxing fans taunt Tommy Fury as he returns to training after skipping Jake Paul fight

Tommy Fury has been accused of "ducking" Jake Paul by fans after he posted footage of his return to training.

The British star was set to face Paul last December to settle their rivalry but withdrew from the event with a broken rib.

He has now been pictured back in training for the first time since his injury with his father John who was heavily involved with the rivalry against Paul.

Fury has now been mocked by fans on Instagram with one fan commenting: "You ducked Jake Paul, Tommy Fumbles."

One fan mocked his caption: "But ran from Jake Paul so you coming from everything."

Another agreed: "There is no coming back for you, Tommy Fumbles. You pulled out of facing a YouTuber."

One fan continued to mock Fury, saying: "Coming for nothing running away you lose everything run away and just keep running."

A fan continued a brutal assessment of Fury, demanding: "Not Jake Paul? Hurry up and take him out."

One fan questioned his injury, mocking: "Already healed from a busted rib huh? What a joke that was."

Another fan concluded with a bold statement: "I’d rather see you fight other boxing prospects than YouTubers and 150lb wrestlers. You say you have ambitions to become a world champion ? Fighting Jake Paul and other YouTubers won’t get you there."

Fury was set to meet Paul in the boxing ring to settle their long-standing rivalry after he confronted the YouTube star during his first meeting with Tyron Woodley.

He has yet to face a real test in his early boxing career with the fight widely-regarded as being the toughest of each other's short careers.

Fury has continued his pursuit of a clash with Paul branding him "scared" despite previously withdrawing and has called for the bout to be rescheduled.

Meanwhile Paul is yet to consider his next opponent and is not ready to commit to recreating a fight with the famous British star.

After a fiery build-up involving Fury's heavyweight champion brother Tyson, the pair attracted a great deal of attention going into the fight.

Paul believes that Fury will hold "massive regret' over his withdrawal from the fight and has called for his rival to have an interim fight before pursuing their grudge match again.

Tommy Fury pulling out of the fight with his illness is more embarrassing than him fighting and getting knocked out," Paul told The Sun.

“It’s bad either way for him but this way this way for him will be a massive regret for the rest of his entire life. He definitely seems very down though, he is complaining on Instagram about fans attacking him, claiming he didn’t fake an injury.

“He is clearly going through it. I think they knew that day that they were going to use the broken rib as an excuse so they leaked it.”
