Before jumping into the best Boxing Day home deals you need to know two things. The first is great news as you will find some incredibly low prices, however, the less good news is most of the sales are focused on end-of-season products that retailers are looking to shift (hence the super low deals).
This combination is not necessarily a bad thing, but what it means is it's very easy to buy something that sounds like a great deal but is a product you would never have usually bought under normal circumstances. That is where this guide comes in to help you find the best air fryers, best dehumidifiers and even the best vacuum cleaners on offer in the post-Christmas winter sales.
I've done the homework for you with the help of the Ideal Home team. Together we have found all the retailers offering Boxing Day sales and searched through them to find the best deals on offer on some of our favourite tried-and-tested products. As Ideal Home's Sleep Editor, I've seen some of the best mattresses from Emma drop in price, and our Room Decor Editor has spotted deals on the best sofas at Habitat and John Lewis.
Here is everything you need to know before you start shopping.

Sofa deals
Boxing Day and January are the best times to snap up a deal on a sofa. Many brands, such as Next, don't participate in the Black Friday sale but do have post-Christmas deals. These are some of the sofas we've found on offer.
Bedding and mattress deals
If your New Year's resolution is to sleep better, then Boxing Day is a great time to hunt out a new mattress at a bargain price. Emma usually reliably has a strong Boxing Day sale offering. If you're thinking smaller and just want to update your sheets it's worth looking to The White Company, Marks & Spencer and Dusk.
Dehumidifier deals
Finding a dehumidifier deal at this time of year is a little like gold dust as many of the best models often have stock issues as winter drags on. They can be found but you need to do some hunting around, and we've found a couple for you to shop.
Vacuum cleaner deals
This year we have seen both Shark and Dyson dropping deals on some of their top-rated models.
Air fryer deals
Ninja had already kicked off their winter sale before Christmas. However, we've seen other retailers including Amazon and John Lewis drop prices on their air fryers.
Cookware deals
Good cookware is an essential if you want to cook more in 2025 or if you love dreaming up new recipes in your kitchen. Get ahead on cooking with these phenomenal cookware deals from the likes of Ninja and Le Creuset this Boxing Day.
Need to do some research before you buy?
When do the Boxing Day and January sales end?
The January sales traditionally start on 1st January, but a lot of retailers these days start their deals much earlier, kicking off with pre-Christmas discounts that last until just before Christmas, into Boxing Day deals. Often retailers extend their offerings further as part of 'winter discounts', such as Cox & Cox.
Traditionally, January sales last the whole month until 31st January, meaning you don’t have to rush to bag a bargain.
What can you buy in Boxing Day and January sales?
Perhaps the most obvious thing to shop for less in the Boxing Day sales is Christmas decor. Anything seasonal that a retailer has failed to sell by the end of the festive season is likely to be massively discounted. So, as long as you have storage space, the Boxing Day and January sales offer a great opportunity to save on next year's decor. Consider stocking up on half-price baubles, Christmas lights, or investing in one of the best artificial Christmas trees for less.
Christmas gifting will also often be on sale – we are talking about everything from bath and body gift sets to game consoles and toys.
