Bournemouth vs Man City LIVE: FA Cup quarter-final result, latest updates and reaction as City reach Wembley

Winning goal: Omar Marmoush’s goal has booked an FA Cup semi-final spot for Man City - (Getty Images)

Bournemouth vs Man City - LIVE!

Manchester City are through to yet another FA Cup semi-final after coming from behind to knock out Bournemouth. Pep Guardiola’s side were beaten by the Cherries on their last visit to the Vitality Stadium earlier in the season, and for 45 minutes it looked like they were going to suffer the same fate from the Premier League fixture.

However, some inspired substitutions from the Spanish tactician in the second half proved to be the difference and Man City will face Nottingham Forest at Wembley Stadium next month for the chance to reach a third consecutive FA Cup final. Evanilson bundled the ball home to give the hosts the lead, slightly against the run of play after Erling Haaland saw his penalty saved by Kepa.

Man City were level early in the second half when Nico O'Reilly put the ball on a plate for Haaland who slid in at the back post. The Norwegian limped off on the hour mark, though his replacement Omar Marmoush made an instant impact with the winner. Follow the game back with Standard Sport’s LIVE blog below!

Guardiola: FA Cup success would not change poor season

14:55 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Man City are relying on the FA Cup if they are to finish the season with any domestic silverware.

But Pep Guardiola has said lifting the trophy at Wembley in May would not be enough to make up for a frustrating campaign.

"Of course it would be nice to arrive in the final of the FA Cup and win it, and qualify for the Champions League," Guardiola said.

"That would be a big success but the season has been poor and it's not going to change.

"Our standards and many things were not good, this is the reality. That's not going to change for the fact we win one title or qualify for the Champions League.

"We'll be happy, of course. We want to do it but the season has not been good."

Andoni Iraola values FA Cup success over playing in Europe

14:50 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola insists winning the FA Cup is more important than qualifying for Europe.

"The FA Cup is, for me, much more important than playing in Europe. It's a title," he said in an interview with Guillem Balague for BBC 5 Live's Football Daily.

"Sometimes they talk about the cup competitions as a way to get into Europe. I don't care about Europe.

"We are playing in a final, we are fighting for a title. For me, it's much more important."

Standard Sport Prediction

14:20 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne

There will be no fear in the Bournemouth camp heading into his match. They have the chance to make history in the final weeks of the season and they are within touching distance of a trip to Wembley.

Iraola’s side will be full of energy and intensity, and City continue to look alarmingly vulnerable when teams take the match to them.

We’re going for Bournemouth to make it back-to-back wins over Guardiola’s side this season.

Bournemouth to win, 2-1.

Man City team news

John Stones, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji are all still injured and Bernardo Silva is a doubt, but Josko Gvardiol is expected to be fit. Phil Foden and Jack Grealish will hope to get chances to impress in attack.
