Manchester City completed the FA Cup semi-final line-up and will play Nottingham Forest at Wembley after coming from behind to beat Bournemouth in the last remaining quarter-final tie.
Pep Guardiola’s side kept their hopes of winning silverware this season alive as goals from Erling Haaland and substitute Omar Marmoush - who replaced Haaland when the striker suffered an ankle injury - secured a hard-fought 2-1 win.
Marmoush scored with virtually his first touch after Haaland went over his ankle under the challenge of Lewis Cook. The Egyptian snuck a strike under Kepa Arrizabalaga, who had saved a penalty from Haaland in the first half of the quarter-final.
It was one of three big chances missed by Haaland when the game was goalless and Bournemouth looked as if they would punish City when Evalison scrambled in the opener to put the home side 45 minutes away from the club’s first ever FA Cup semi-final.
But City turned it around after half-time to book a Wembley date with high-flying Forest, with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace facing off in the other semi-final to be played across the weekend of April 26/27.

19:13 , Chris WilsonErling Haaland has become the first player to score 30 or more goals in all competitions in each of his first three seasons while playing for a Premier League club since Ruud van Nistelrooy for Manchester United (from 2001/02 to 2003/04).
More from Iraola
19:07 , Chris WilsonOn whether the injuries and suspensions had a negative impact on his side, Iraola says: "Yes. It isn't just the starting eleven. It gives you good options from the bench to give us the same level.
I felt David Brooks, Evanilson, after 50 minutes or something - they can play but they don't play at the same intensity level, the press is not the same as before. We couldn't maintain that level."
The Spaniard finishes by saying that "we need to recover quickly because we are playing in three days against Ipswich and try and win”.
“We need to go again with the three points and improve our position."
Iraola reacts
19:01 , Chris WilsonCherries boss Iraola says that he thinks that his side “played very well” in the first half, “but second half the game was for them”.
“We couldn't keep the same intensity level, we were not as aggressive and we were a lot more passive.
"Even with the changes, we were lacking energy, especially up front. We were not able to play at the same level we did in the first half."
On whether Kepa should have saved Omar Marmoush's goal, he adds: "Yes probably. There is a chance but overall I don't think we lost because of this.
“Overall I think we were better in the first half, we played the game we wanted to play but second half they were better and we couldn't affect the long possessions. We were not dangerous enough."
More from Pep
18:55 , Chris WilsonCarrying on, Guardiola adds: "Comparing the game we played in November - we came here with flipflops, we came hare for the holiday against a team that competes.
"Today, we were a team and we challenged. In football you have to run.
"We love the FA Cup. Hopefully, we can reach the final,” he adds.
On the severity of Erling Haaland's injury, he simply says: "I don't know yet."
Guardiola reacts
18:50 , Chris WilsonCity boss Guardiola is pleased that City "did it” in the end.
"Seven times in a row reaching semi-finals in the FA Cup.
"I am sorry to tell you, but this is outstanding. This generation of players, they have done this.
"To come here, [it’s] one of the toughest away places to come,” he adds.
"After the impact from Nico was really good, but not just him - [I’m] really pleased that we reach the semi-final, again,” he says.
"Not just young players, but the old players as well. Today, Bernardo [Silva], Gundo [Ilkay Gundogan] and Kevin [De Bruyne], they are really good.
"Nico scored two goals against Plymouth and the impact today was outstanding.
"He's going to play in semi-final for sure!” he adds jokingly.
Silva reacts
18:42 , Chris WilsonCity midfielder Bernanrdo Silva says that he thinks “the motivation that this is the only hope of us winning something” pulled his side through.
“The team played a really good game, a really aggressive game - we are really happy today,” he adds.
On Nico O'Reilly, he says: "He was unbelievable. Against Plymouth he showed the impact he can have on the game and the energy he brought today changed the game. That's what we need."
On the match against Forest, he adds that "it's another tough draw for us”.
“It's the semi-finals and we will be playing at Wembley. We are very happy."

More calm and composed play from City and that should be that as they win a free-kick in their own half.
Bournemouth 1-2 Man City

Kepa launches the ball forward but City clear easily. At the second tome of asking, City clear again, before Kepa gives it straight to Ederson with his third attempt. That tells the story of an uninspiring second half for the hosts.
Bournemouth 1-2 Man City

City are happy to take the ball into the corner as they look to wind down the clock, though on this occasion Bournemouth win the ball back and get a free-kick. McAtee is booked for his challenge too.

Bournemouth 1-2 Man City

Good recovery from Zabarnyi as he manages to take the ball off Marmoush, who was clean through originally.
City are still in possession though, and they have a brilliant chance to wrap it up after some pinball in the box, but McAtee hits it straight at Kepa from about six yards!
Bournemouth 1-2 Man City

Adams is booked for the foul but the free-kick comes to nothing.
There’ll be SEVEN minutes of added time though.
Bournemouth 1-2 Man City

City are knocking it around well, looking much more like the side that fans have become accustomed to seeing over the last few seasons.
Bournemouth are looking a little lost out there, unable to deal with City’s possession and unable to threaten in attack.
City will have a free-kick in a dangerous position as a frustrated Adams runs into the foul.
Bournemouth 1-2 Man City
18:16 , Chris Wilson87 mins
Kepa does well to come off his line and head away a long ball that Marmoush was chasing, but it’s no good for the Cherries as City keep possession – though McAtee loses it soon after.
Not long left for the hosts now, with City still looking fairly comfortable overall.
Bournemouth 1-2 Man City
18:13 , Chris Wilson85 mins
A bit better from Bournemouth as they sweep forward and Semenyo narrowly avoids bringing down the cross before Smith’s good cross is just over the heads of his teammates in the box.
Nunes is booked for taking too long over the throw-in.

Bournemouth 1-2 Man City
18:08 , Chris Wilson80 mins
Bournemouth put together their first move in what seems like forever, and there are some decent combinations on the edge of the City box before they win a throw.
Hill’s long through is cleared and Zabarnyi’s mistake almost allows Marmoush in 1-v-1 with Kepa, but the chance goes begging as Gundogan’s through ball is deflected into the ‘keeper’s path.
Bournemouth 1-2 Man City
18:06 , Chris Wilson79 mins
De Bruyne wins a corner as his cross is put behind, and it’ll be another chance for City.

It’s been poor from Bournemouth when in possession for at least the last 10 minutes or so, maybe more.
Kluivert is booked for bringing down Nunes, and time is running out for the Cherries.
Bournemouth 1-2 Man City

City are really dominating now, it must be said. Bournemouth are simply looking to go long at almost every opportunity, and with little success.

Bournemouth 1-2 Man City
17:54 , Chris Wilson66 mins
OFF THE LINE! Another chance for Marmoush.
Nunes gets forward into plenty of space before hooking a cross to Marmoush, who rises well and powers a header towards goal that Senesi clears off the line!
GOAL! Bournemouth 1-2 Man City
17:52 , Chris Wilson64 mins
GOAL! City are in front and it’s another inspired sub (kind of).
Marmoush has given City the lead.
Gundogan tries to play it to O’Reilly, and Semenyo slides in but can’t prevent the youngster winning the ball.
O’Reilly then manages to scoop a pass to Marmoush around 18 yards out, and the Egyptian’s shot creeps under Kepa for 2-0!
Poor from the ‘keeper. it must be said.

Bournemouth 1-1 Man City

Another booking, as Christie drags down Kovacic.

Haaland is unable to carry on, as he signals to the bench.
There’s a scuffle too as De Bruyne is annoyed that the hosts didn’t put the ball out when Haaland went back down.
Haaland is taken off for Omar Marmoush.

Bournemouth 1-1 Man City
17:46 , Chris Wilson59 mins
Haaland is still receiving treatment at the moment. His right ankle was caught under the challenge as both players fell to ground.
He walks off the pitch for now but he looks okay.
Bournemouth 1-1 Man City

Haaland is struggling here after falling awkwardly, but he should be fine.
We have the first sub of the day as Julio Soler is replaced by James Hill, while Brooks makes way for Dango Ouattara.
Bournemouth 1-1 Man City
17:42 , Chris Wilson54 mins
The hosts are struggling to create in attack if it’s not on the counter, and they also aren’t keeping possession all that well either.
City win possession and there’ll be a VAR check as a blue shirt is dragged down in the box...nothing doing in the end.
Bournemouth 1-1 Man City
17:40 , Chris Wilson52 mins
More pressure from City now, and the momentum has shifted here. Bournemouth can’t afford to try and sit and strike on the counter anymore.
They do have a little break though after a foul near their box.
GOAL! Bournemouth 1-1 Man City
17:37 , Chris Wilson49 mins
GOAL! City have the equaliser!
It’s great work from O’Reilly, who is played into plenty of space and plays a great early cross that Haaland tucks in at the back post!

Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:35 , Chris Wilson48 mins
Better from City as Foden drives towards the box before hitting a low shot that forces Kepa into a simple save.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:34 , Chris Wilson46 mins
A decent opening for City as O’Reilly gets space in the box and clips in a good cross, but there’s nobody there to meet it!
KICK-OFF! Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:32 , Chris WilsonThe hosts get the second half started!
Nico O’Reilly has replaced Khusanov, who was on a yellow card.
HALF-TIME! Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:31 , Chris WilsonThe teams are starting to re-emerge at the Vitality, so we’ll be back underway soon.
HALF-TIME! Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:28 , Chris WilsonNot the most entertaining half for the neutral, but Bournemouth fans won’t care!
City are certainly still in this, having had the better of the chances, and on another day they have a 2-0 (or maybe 3-0) lead.
But Bournemouth’s game plan so far has paid off, and they’ve looked dangerous at points, especially when winning possession high up. The hosts aren’t creating a lot when they’re allowed possession, however.
It’s finely poised as the second half approaches.
HALF-TIME! Bournemouth 1-0 Man City

HALF-TIME! Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:17 , Chris Wilson45 +1 mins
Foden has picked the ball up in dangerous positions so far and he does once again, almost threading it though to Haaland. City recycle the ball and work it to De Bruyne, but his effort flies well over.
The referee blows the whistle and it’s 1-0 to Bournemouth at the break!
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:16 , Chris Wilson45 mins
Plenty of cheap fouls from the hosts at the moment as they try and disrupt City at the end of the half.
It works for now as Khusanov plays a pass straight out for a throw.
The hosts would be delighted to go into the break at 1-0 up considering the chances City have had – and there’ll be one minute of added time before they do so.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:14 , Chris Wilson44 mins
There have been a couple of occasions when it just hasn’t quite fallen for City, and here’s another as the through ball to Haaland is taken narrowly wide of the Norwegian’s path.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:13 , Chris Wilson42 mins
It’s all a little bit pedestrian from both sides as the half approaches an end, with De Bruyne’s clipped ball forward running out for a goal kick.

De Bruyne and Foden try their first combination of the game on the edge of the box, but the Belgian’s attempted pass into the box is cut out.

Bournemouth 1-0 Man City

Adams tries to slip in a pass to Evanilson but Khusanov brings him down and is given the first yellow card of the match.
From the free-kick, Kluivert and Brooks line it up once again and the Welshman clips in a ball that Gundogan can only flick back towards his own goal, and Senesi is inches away from making it 2-0!
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:07 , Chris Wilson35 mins
No chances to report over the last few minutes, with City looking comfortable in possession but lacking penetration in attack, as has often been the story of the season.
Bournemouth look happy to sit back and absorb pressure at the moment, but it’s always dangerous to let City have so much of the ball near your box.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:03 , Chris Wilson32 mins
City are continuing to dominate possession and they win a corner that Haaland heads wide at the far post.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
17:02 , Chris Wilson31 mins
Not bad from Nunes as he does well to get forward and then skip past Semenyo, but rather than cross it he hits a fairly tame effort that Kepa manages to catch.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
16:59 , Chris Wilson28 mins
Half a chance on the counter as Adams blocks a shot then has acres of free space to run into. He’s under pressure from Khusanov and tries to slip the pass into the path of Evanilson, but there was too much on it. Another reminder of what the hosts can do though.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
16:57 , Chris Wilson27 mins
Ederson races off his line to clear a long ball forward, but thankfully for City fans he deals with it well.
The visitors are enjoying more possession now, but the Cherries look threatening whenever they win it back.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
16:55 , Chris Wilson25 mins
Decent play from Semenyo as he stands up Nunes, drags it past him and fizzes a ball across goal, but Evanilson isn’t there to tap in.
Bournemouth 1-0 Man City

A chance for City as the throw is brought down and Gundogan lashes a shot from distance that forces good low save from Kepa.
GOAL! Bournemouth 1-0 Man City
16:53 , Chris Wilson21 mins
GOAL! The hosts have the lead!
It’s a well-worked goal too, with Cook slipping it through to Brooks, who stands up the defender and clips a great cross to the back post.
Kluivert is there to meet the cross and pokes it past Ederson, and Evanilson races in to make sure as he bundles it over the line.

Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:4918 mins
As evidenced by the chances, City have settled well by this point, though the Cherries have half a chance as Semenyo dispossesses Gundogan before skipping past Foden and rifling a shot just wide.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:47 , Chris Wilson16 mins
CLOSE! What a chance for City.
Haaland heads a ball back into midfield but a Bournemouth shirt wins it.
However, it’s clipped back towards Kepa and there’s so much space between the defence and the ‘keeper, and Haaland races onto the ball to go 1-v-1 with the Spaniard. He looks certain to score but he tries the chip and it goes over the bar!
On the replay, it looks like it took a little bobble before he hit it.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:45 , Chris Wilson14 mins
Straight down the other end, Bournemouth win a free-kick at the edge of the box that Ederson punches away.
MISSED PENALTY! Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:44 , Chris Wilson13 mins
PENALTY MISSED!
Haaland steps up and blasts it low to the right, and Kepa dives low and catches it!

PENALTY TO CITY! Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:43 , Chris Wilson13 mins
PENALTY! It’s a gift from Adams.
Silva is 1-v-1 with the American and he tries to lift the ball over him, and Adams’ outstretched arm blocks the ball. The ref doesn’t hesitate at all.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:42 , Chris Wilson12 mins
A break in play as Adams is down injured, but he’s fine to carry on.
And there’s a handball here as play returns...
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:41 , Chris Wilson11 mins
City’s first sign of quality and a reminder of what they can do.
They sweep it wide quickly to Nunes and he delivers a great cross that Haaland meets, though the striker can only direct his header wide.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:40 , Chris Wilson10 mins
Kluivert and Brooks line up the set-piece from around 30 yards. The Dutchman hits it but it’s never troubling Ederson.
It’s been a good start for the hosts though.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:38 , Chris Wilson8 mins
Nothing in terms of chances for either side so far, with plenty of exchanges of possession.
Ederson is put under pressure again and he fires it straight to Adams, who is fouled not far from the edge of the box.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:37 , Chris Wilson5 mins
Some muted shouts for a red card as Gundogan goes flying in on Semenyo, but it was never worthy of that. He doesn’t even get a yellow, in fact.
Bournemouth have shown plenty of that well-publicised high pressing so far.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:353 mins
First corner of the game for Bournemouth and the first sight of a battle between Khusanov and Kluivert, with the latter winning this one despite the Uzbek defender’s clearly superior pace.
The delivery from the set-piece comes to nothing though.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man City
16:33 , Chris Wilson2 mins
Some early pressure from the hosts when City have the ball, and Ederson has been forced long twice already.
City are more relaxed when Bournemouth have the ball at the moment.

Pep Guardiola believes Bournemouth defeat was the start of Man City’s troubles
15:45 , Chris WilsonPep Guardiola hopes his Manchester City side can erase the memory of one of their season’s lowpoints by making FA Cup history this weekend.
City are bidding to reach the semi-finals of the competition for a record-extending seventh consecutive season as they travel to Bournemouth in the last eight on Sunday.
Their last visit to the Vitality Stadium was one to forget as they slumped to their first Premier League defeat of the campaign in November.

Pep Guardiola rates own performance as ‘really poor’ after disappointing season
15:15 , Chris WilsonManchester City boss Pep Guardiola has rated his own performance this season as “really poor”.
City have endured a disappointing campaign by their lofty standards, having failed to mount a strong defence of their Premier League title and crashed out of the Champions League before the last 16.
A number of factors have contributed to City’s underwhelming return, including injuries to key players, most notably long-term absentee Rodri.

Pep Guardiola rates own performance as ‘really poor’ after disappointing season
Match facts
15:05 , Chris WilsonThis is the first ever FA Cup meeting between Bournemouth and Manchester City.
Bournemouth won 2-1 against Manchester City the last time they faced in November, having not won any of their first 21 meetings with the Citizens in all competitions (D2 L19).
When is the FA Cup semi-final draw?
14:55 , Chris WilsonHere’s everything you need to know about the draw for the final four, which takes places after the conclusion of Preston’ match with Villa.

Why this weekend’s FA Cup quarter-finals are a once-in-a-generation event
14:40 , Chris WilsonAt Brighton this week, it had been suggested the club supply fans with special flags to give Saturday a proper sense of occasion, but this was rejected by manager Fabian Hurzeler and the wider staff. They want the players to treat this FA Cup quarter-final at home to Nottingham Forest as if it’s just another home game. That tends to be an attitude more conducive to actually winning, especially when you can sense the excitement building around the training ground.
Brighton are far from the only club wrestling with such competing emotions this weekend, because the majority of those left in the FA Cup are keenly aware this isn’t just another game. It’s a historic, and maybe unique, opportunity.
There will be no debates about the competition’s meaning. Most of the clubs who most frequently win it – including its five most successful clubs over the last 34 years and nine of its past 10 winners – are out. It really couldn’t mean more to those left.

14:10 , Chris WilsonBournemouth go into the contest without two of their best players as Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen miss out with suspension. Luis Sinisterra is a doubt after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring injury against Brentford, which forced him off during the game.
Man City will meanwhile hope to have Ederson available to them, having missed the visit of Brighton due to abdominal problems. The Brazilian may have trouble ousting Ortega between the sticks, though. John Stones, Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji and Rodri all remain out with long-term injuries, while Bernardo Silva is a doubt.
