Bournemouth fans fume despite Swansea comeback and fire Nottingham Forest message

AFC Bournemouth's fightback at Swansea City gained Scott Parker's side a valuable point but Nottingham Forest still have it in their hands to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Bournemouth went 2-0 down to Swansea after only 12 minutes thanks to a brace from red-hot Joel Piroe. Former Forest right-back Cyrus Christie added a third just before the hour mark with a goal that should have put the match beyond Bournemouth, who remain in second place but are teetering on the edge of the automatic promotion spots after the 3-3 draw in South Wales with goals from Kieffer Moore (2) and Dominic Solanke rescuing a point.

They are on 79 points with nine left to play for and can still be caught by Huddersfield Town as far back as fourth place. Steve Cooper's side went up to third place after a superb 1-0 win at already-promoted Fulham thanks to a first half goal from Philip Zinckernagel.

A huge three points has put the Reds three points behind Bournemouth and in third place ahead of a mouth-watering clash on the south coast next month. Automatic promotion is now in the Reds' hands, while Bournemouth's games against Blackburn Rovers and Millwall either side of a clash with Cooper's men are not going to be easy.

"I don't care we came back, that's not good enough in my opinion," one Cherries fan said on social media while another added: "It was a brave fightback but we should never have given three goals away." "We really cannot drop any more points," a third supporter said.

Another added: "Stuttering....struggling. Where was that before going 3-0 down. Still proud of the comeback, but Forest are breathing down our necks. Must. Start. Winning," while a fifth fan said: "Bad result. But such a valuable one. We have to move now."
