Bournemouth ace delivers 'unbelievable' verdict on Nottingham Forest ahead of crucial clash

Midfielder Philip Billing says Bournemouth are well aware of the threat Nottingham Forest will pose on Tuesday evening.

The two sides meet at the Vitality Stadium for a rearranged clash which could determine who finishes second in the Championship. If the Reds avoid defeat, the battle for automatic promotion would go down to the final day.

Under Steve Cooper’s stewardship, they have charged up the table - going from rock-bottom to third with two games to go. And they make the trip south in fine form.

A Sam Surridge hat-trick helped see off Swansea City 5-1 at the City Ground on Saturday. That made it seven wins in Forest’s last eight league games, with their only defeat coming at Luton Town.

The Cherries, meanwhile, toppled Blackburn Rovers 3-0 last time out, with Billing hitting a brace at Ewood Park. They have won twice in their last seven fixtures prior to facing Cooper’s men but know three points would see them up to the Premier League.

Asked about the possibility of promotion, Billing told BBC Solent: "It's a nice feeling but they (Forest) are on an unbelievable run at the minute. They've been battering a lot of teams recently.

"We have to respect Forest because they're a decent side with good players - they're on a good unbeaten run so we have to be aware. But I back us, that's for sure."

Since returning from the last international break, the Reds have netted 19 goals in eight matches. They are currently three points below Bournemouth, with a better goal difference of +1.
