Boucher Road incident: Man and woman arrested after collision at South Belfast car park

Two people have been arrested following a road traffic collision in south Belfast on Friday afternoon.

At approximately 12.25pm, the PSNI received a report that a car had been involved in a collision in a car park in the Boucher Road area.

The car then travelled across the city to the Cavehill Road area of north Belfast where police arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and failing to stop, report and remain at the scene of a collision.

A 37-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

Both remain in custody at this time.

Anyone who may have witnessed the black BMW car between the Boucher and Cave Hill areas of the city or who may have video footage that could help with enquiries, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 724 of 02/09/22.
