Soon after signing his historic, $304 million supermax contract extension, star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown surprised many of his fans by breaking down how he plans to use his new contract money to make a positive impact on the community, particularly by supporting Black-owned businesses in the greater Boston area.
The Celtics star made a point of doing so on his big day, explaining how he plans to invest in his community, build a Black Wall Street in Boston and make a difference in underserved communities. Brown is excited about the opportunities the money brings, and it shined through when he spoke to the media about his plans.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear how Brown feels about the new opportunities this deal makes possible for him, as well as how he plans to respond on the court, courtesy of a new video of the “Locked On Celtics” podcast and host John Karalis.
