In a recent ranking by Walk Score, a subsidiary of Redfin that focuses on promoting walkable neighborhoods, all 29 NBA arenas (the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers share an arena) have been assessed for their transit scores based on “population density, street design and amenities within a 5–30 min. walk from the stadium”. The Boston Celtics’ home arena of TD Garden received the highest possible score of 100 for walkability in the assessment according to a recent article by Axios’ Analis Bailey.
Along with the Celtics, The New York Knicks’ Manhattan-based Madison Square Garden, the Washington Wizards arena — Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. — and the Brooklyn Nets’ Barclays Center also received a perfect score in terms of easy access for pedestrians.
In other words, fans visiting these arenas can easily access public transit, making their trips to and from the games convenient and efficient, with a “transit score of 90–100 means public transportation near the arena” meaning it “is world class”.

The worst arena per the analysis? The San Antonio Spurs’ Frost Bank Arena with a rating of just 35.
