With a new season looming, it is time to look toward next season. A big question going into the 2022-23 NBA season will be how the Boston Celtics manage their roster with all of the changes. They are one of the deepest teams in the league in the backcourt. In the front court, however, they have some holes. In addition, it is expected that Al Horford will sit during back-to-back games.
Heavy Sports NBA insider Steve Bulpett believes Al Horford will sit out every back-to-back game this season.
“You’re not going to see Al in back-to-backs; I’d bet quite a bit on that,” suggests Bulpett.
“I also believe they will limit him when they can. They’re certainly better able to limit minutes in the backcourt, but that’s a situation where they will be looking to find minutes for guys.”

It’s easy to see why resting Horford is crucial especially when the league’s Eastern Conference is so deep at the top of the projected standings.
Several clubs have a real chance to win the East this year and competition will be challenging this coming season for the Celtics. Having everyone healthy and in good shape is going to be crucial to make a run at a championship.
