The Boston Celtics rightfully took a lot of flak for how they came out against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, but came out against the mighty Milwaukee Bucks like a team on fire. Boston played the No. 1 team in the East with conviction and didn’t let up until Milwaukee waved the white towel.
The Celtics put up one of their most convincing wins of the season just a game removed from one of their worst with a furious onslaught from tip to the final buzzer, leading by as much as 49 points and winning 140-99. Massive games from Jayson Tatum (40 points, 8 rebounds), and Jaylen Brown (30 points, 5 boards, 5 assists) powered the victory, with good showings from Al Horford (14 points), Malcolm Brogdon (14 points, 5 assists, 4 steals off of the bench), and Marcus Smart (10 points, 8 assists) helped carry the day.
