Boston Celtics alumnus Dennis Schroder helped carry the German National Team to a 92-82 win over the Bosnian and Herzegovinian National Team on Saturday while fellow Boston alum Daniel Theis had a bit of an off game in the EuroBasket victory.
While Theis only managed to chip in 2 points on 1-of-5 shooting overall and going 0-of-2 from beyond the arc, he was able to chip in 6 rebounds and 2 assists in 22:35 minutes of floor time. Schroder also had an off game shooting as well, putting up 18 points on 35.3% shooting for the contest along with 3 boards, 9 assists, and a steal to help secure the win.
Both Theis and Schroder both last played for the Celtics in the 2021-22 NBA season but never played together for Boston given they were dealt as part of a package for one another at the 2022 NBA trade deadline.
Unlike the two traded player exceptions Boston already has on their roster, Boston could only use it on a player in the last year of their current contract. https://t.co/WS2ZzGcKNZ
