Borussia Dortmund's stance on Thomas Meunier this summer after Manchester United transfer links

Borussia Dortmund have no intention of selling Thomas Meunier after the player was linked with Manchester United.

The Manchester Evening News understands United are open to sanctioning an exit for Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer and that would leave Diogo Dalot as the only senior right-back at the club, which explains the heavy links with Meunier.

Meunier, 30, has played for Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund in his career and he's a regular starter for Belgium's national side. Meunier is contracted at Dortmund under 2024 and it's thought he would be available for a fee of around €15million.

However, Dortmund's sporting director Sebastian Kehl has now revealed the German club will not sell Meunier this summer.

“We have no intention of selling Thomas Meunier," Kehl said. “Currently it’s absolutely not our plan to sell him."

Wan-Bissaka, 24, was informed he is not part of manager Ten Hag's plans in May and Crystal Palace expressed an interest in re-signing him earlier this summer. Wan-Bissaka could still leave United with just under one week remaining in the transfer window.

Wan-Bissaka lost his starting place to Dalot last season and started just seven times under Ralf Rangnick.
