Boris Johnson's rarely seen daughter appears in Kim Kardashian-inspired photoshoot

Boris Johnson's daughter has wowed the public as she slipped into some body-positive shape wear while modelling for a revealing shoot.

The Prime Minister's oldest daughter Lara Lettice Johnson-Wheeler, 28, dazzled as she posed in "empowering" shape wear for some black and white pictures in Tatler Magazine.

Crediting Kim Kardashian for bringing the 'hour glass' shape back into vogue, Lara said the shaping undergarments make her feel more "secure" about her body as looking "thicc" becomes "highly covetable".

Penning an article accompanying her pictures in Tatler, Lara, who is an established arts and fashion writer, spoke of how she, like many others, had sought to rebuild their body confidence post lockdown as bars and restaurants reopen and socialising is part of the norm again.

So she flocked to Rigby & Peller’s flagship store on Conduit Street and revealed how she'd be hanging around "with bare nipples" while chatting to her personal assistant Natasha and shopping for shape wear.

"As I stand in the changing room, bare nipples facing Natasha, my infinitely professional sales assistant, I realise this is the most compromising position I’ve ever conducted an interview in: I am naked from the waist up, wearing opaque tights, Tabi boots and my trusty More Joy mask, as we chat about breast tissue and waist cinching.

"I’m not a total stranger to shapewear – I’ve panic-bought the odd piece to go with an outfit – but it’s clear I have much to learn."

Lara, who is the daughter of the PM and his second wife Marina Wheeler, said while the garments won't "fix" the parts you don't like of your body, they "enhance" what you already have, or "emulate" today's favoured body shape.

"Wearing sculpting underwear doesn’t make me feel different per se, but it certainly makes me feel more secure in clothes I was previously unsure about," she said.

She dismissed claims the undergarments are controversial as she said it merely "amplifies the goodness there" while giving a "foundation for comfort and confidence".

Lara uses the double-barrelled surname Johnson-Wheeler, with the second being her mum's surname.

She went to the £33,000-a-year Bedales school before earning a place at St Andrews University where she studied Latin.

She now works as a journalist, writer, editor and broadcaster and lives in London.

She specialises in arts and fashion criticism and has been published in Vogue.

Her website states: "Johnson-Wheeler is open to and has experience in public speaking, chairing panel discussions and debates."

At 28, she is just five years younger than her dad's current girlfriend Carrie, 33, and Mr Johnson's third wife.
