The Prime Minister's newborn baby daughter caught Covid and was taken ill 'quite badly', it has been reported.
According to the Daily Mail the six-week-old daughter of Boris and Carrie is now 'on the mend'.
Last week Downing Street announced that a family member of the Prime Minister had tested positive for the virus, but did not reveal who it was.
According to the Mail it was his daughter Romy, and the paper says the young girl suffered 'quite badly' with the illness.
Boris Johnson disappeared from the media spotlight for several days last week, and canceled an event he was due to attend.
A spokesman at the time said Mr Johnson would be following Covid guidelines and would continue to hold meetings - mostly virtual.
Romy Iris Charlotte Johnson was born on December 9 in London and lives with the Johnsons and their eldest child Wilfred in the flat above Number 11 Downing Street.
Mr Johnson, 57, himself caught Covid at the start of the pandemic and became seriously ill, spending time in hospital.
