'Boris Johnson brazenly denies truth and always puts himself first - he should resign'

Dishonourable and lacking integrity, Boris Johnson shamelessly refusing to do the right thing and resign is a national disgrace that may cost the Tories dearly.

Fair-minded observers acknowledge the PM’s military support for Ukraine. Supplying weapons to fight Putin’s troops is a good call.

Yet it is also repellant the same PM uses the rape of women, killing of children and other war crimes to justify why he hasn’t left No10 after becoming the first sitting tenant in history to be found guilty of law-breaking.

Tory ministers and MPs demean themselves by using the war to defend the indefensible, arguing Johnson should stay rather than go.

Labour leader Keir Starmer forcefully made the prosecution case for Johnson to be fired.

The jury finds him guilty – British men and women good and true want to see the back of this lying PM.

Brazenly denying the truth and putting himself first, second and third is the story of his life and career. It got him the top job. It is also why he should no longer be tolerated.

No10 no help

Fatcat bosses have a vested interest in customers paying inflated bills that fund the profits of energy giants.

But the failure of the Government to cool searing price rises, with more to come, is also a political as well as cost of living crisis.

Because as many as four in every 10 people plunging into fuel poverty and debts jumping by 50% would be a disaster for families.

Households need a government on their side. But Boris Johnson and the Tories are reeling from his partying and law-breaking.

The cost of living crisis is why his and their political crisis might worsen this year.

Harry’s game

Showing off his table tennis skills, the Duke of Sussex was very game at the Invictus Games.

Perhaps the old likeable Harry still exists – wouldn’t it be great if we could see more
of him…
