Boris Johnson has welcomed a baby boy with his wife Carrie Johnson, making little Frank Aldred Odysseus Johnson the eighth child the former Prime Minister has.
The couple share three children now, with Frank having an older brother named Wilfred and a big sister called Romy. But Boris, 59, also has five other children from previous relationships - four children with his second ex-wife Marina Wheeler (Lara, Milo, Cassia and Theodore) and one from an affair in 2009.
The politician famously spent years avoiding questions about how many kids he actually has, but confirmed the number in September 2021, claiming that it's "fantastic" and "a lot of work" to be a dad to that many.
He echoed a similar sentiment in 2020 after the birth of Wilfred, declaring himself to be a "pretty hands-on" dad - but what have others had to say about his parenting?
His eldest child, Lara Lettice Johnson-Wheeler, has previously not held back about calling her dad out, reportedly telling her pals at a party that he's a "selfish b*****d" after he cheated on her mum Marina with Carrie.
This wasn't the first time in their 25-year marriage that he'd had an affair, but this time was the final straw, with Lara reportedly telling pals: "Mum is finished with him. She will never take him back now."
The 29-year-old also once revealed on her blog I'm Not A Party Girl... how her childhood was full of surprises and unusual antics. She recounted the tale of how she asked for a princess party for her sixth birthday - but her parents had a very different idea about how they should celebrate and instead of a fairytale occasion, Lara ended up having a fake execution party.
"My parents got the neighbour's nanny to dress up as an executioner," she said, as reported by The Daily Mail. "To be honest, I was kind of used to it, but most of the children were horrified, particularly when Anne Boleyn lost her head (a balloon and ketchup were involved)."
Another of Boris' children, Stephanie Macintyre, is believed to have very little to do with her father, who initially denied that he was her dad and is not named on her birth certificate. Stephanie was born in 2008 after her mother, Helen Macintyre, had an affair with Johnson while he was the Mayor of London.
Helen tried to keep their child a secret and even launched legal action to prevent details being made public. However, since then, Helen's next partner, writer William Cash, claiming that Boris gave him the go-ahead to raise his daughter as if she were his own.
William revealed all in his book, Restoration Heart, and shared an excerpt with The Daily Mail in 2019. It told how he'd fallen in love with Helen and wanted to marry her. As such, the couple planned what they called a "Boris Summit" which lasted two hours at Brown's Hotel in Mayfair.
He told how he insisted Helen go alone to meet her former lover, saying: "This is between you and Boris. Tell Boris that I'm in love with you and that I'm very fond of Stephanie and that I want to bring her up in Shropshire."
When she returned, he claims she said: "Boris is fine with our plan. He's fine with you bringing up Stephanie."
However, he didn't get the chance to become a father to Stephanie. Their plans fell apart when Boris' identity as her true father was made public. William said Helen "insinuated" that he must have been responsible for leaking the news and as such didn't want him to return to their home.
Boris also copped it in 2020 for his vague answer about changing his children's nappies.
During an appearance on This Morning ahead of Wilfred's birth, he merely said "I expect so" when asked if he would be getting stuck in helping to change nappies and with other childcare. This upset many, with William McGranaghan, the founder of Dads House, telling The Independent he thought the comment was "disgraceful".
"Dads are now more involved in their children's lives than ever," he said. "As he is the prime minister he should always set an example."
Johnson appeared to respond to this in 2021, while on the Today Show. After confirming how many children he actually had, the dad said: "I change a lot of nappies... in case anybody... I do."
But the critics came for him once again in 2022, as he struggled to name his favourite children's book in a chat with Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts - despite claiming he'd been doing "lots of parenting".
A Mumsnet user asked if he was a "do as I say" or a "do as I do" kind of parent, to which he simply replied that he was "doing a lot right now", had "changed a lot of nappies recently" and was "very fast" at doing them.
Roberts then asked what his favourite children's book to read as a bedtime story was and he took a few moments to think, then explained that he likes books from his own childhood, with Dr. Seuss being a favourite.
"I like the ones I used to like to be honest," he admitted.
On social media, Twitter users weren't impressed with his answer, as one mum wrote: "As a parent of toddlers, you remember books as kids demand the same books over and over again. So when Johnson claimed he's doing so much with the kids but eventually only remembered the book *HE* liked and recommended for kids of at least 4 years, I think he lied."
Another posted: "I just played this clip & my 11 year old overheard. The moment it stopped she said 'you can tell he's lying: you can tell he never spends any time with his kids'. Yup."
